Hello, I am struggling to keep transparency % on every new shape I am doing in my art piece, in Illustrator. Normally I could define the transparency of the new shapes by clicking on a previous shape. The new one would just use the one selected. In this new version of Illustrator, I cannot do it. How can I make Illustrator keep the apparency previously selected? Thank you for any idea.
In the Appearance palette flyout menu, turn off "New Art has Basic Appearance".

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Thanks Kurt, so simple and yet, so difficult to find. All the best.
