I have a number of svgs that I created a few years ago. When I exported those svg files from artboards, they were each given a title element that has been very valuable. When I try to export in the current version of illustrator, they no longer export with a title element, and I can't find any information on how to change this feature in svg export.

Old style svg:

<svg id="Layer_1" data-name="Layer 1" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 100 100"><title>arrow-thick-fill-large-down</title><polygon points="70 10 30 10 30 40 10 40 50 90 90 40 70 40 70 10"/></svg>

New style svg:

<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" viewBox="0 0 100 100"><polygon points="50 61.88 30.35 10 19.65 10 50 90.11 80.35 10 69.65 10 50 61.88"/></svg>

Can anyone help me to get illustrator to add that title element into each exported svg again?

You cannot edit that.

But you can post a feature request to http://illustrator.uservoice.com
