hi, i'm trying to create a text box on my document so i can wrap it around an icon for some sticker designs. however, every time i try to create a text box it automatically fills with these weird looking lines, and i cant type anything either. does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you! ive also attached a screenshot of the issue.
The usual boring answer, most likely: Issues with GPU acceleration not handling transparencies correctly. Start by switching to software-only mode, update your system#s graphics driver, if possible. also look at other stuff that may indirectly factor in: Reset the character palette to defaults, check for "bad" fonts, check your system's font settings and laso stuff like monitor color profiles that also would affect your GPU.
Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & Illustrator? Do you see this behavior while working with a specific file?
