Text Box Overprint Issue and more

Hello,

At my job, we have been having an issue with Illustrator CS6 printing a light blue fill in the text box (see image) for all the text except for one text box. I've already looked up forums on overprinting and color management setting but I cannot figure out why this is happening and why the document is printing like this.

I have also had this issue too with current versions of Illustrator with text and images where  the transparent box around an image or text will print as a darker color then the background unless its white.

Can anyone help me with these two issues and guide me and others on what to do?

Thank you!

Are you using spot colors?

Are you bringing in rgb art into a cmyk file, or vice versa?

The document is using process color. Should I have it switched to spot?

The artwork that I use is CMYK for a CMYK file.

I've also had this happen when using CCID too when using PNG's. both CMYK and RGB art.
