text in old version files converted to outline

Hi, i'm experinicing an issue with adobe 2022

i have couple of project that  i was working on by using adobe 2018

and after sending these files to my client he expernincing a  problem, it  auto convert arabic text to outline

how we can avoide this issue ?

Your client is also using Illustrator? And you sent an AI file?

Which version of Illustrator?

So, you did or didn't open the file from 2018 in 2022?

Does he have 2022?

Any chance at any time the file was saved as a pdf?

I share same doubts with Monica and Met1, I believe that you didn't send a native Ai file, what you described matches the symptoms of a PDF document being converted to Ai document. If you don't want any complex text to be outlined, it is recommended then to send a native Ai file.
