When I try to select the text option inside a shape I get this message:

"you must click on a non compound, non masking path to create text inside a path"

I couldn't understand what it meant

What should I do so that the text fits into the shape I chose?

Compound Path or masking path in Illustrator means complex object. What kind of shape is your shape? Can you describe your steps and show a screenshot with open layers? Thanks
