I made no changes to the way I save my SVG's in Illustrator.  With the latest update, when I open an SVG saved in 27.0.1 version, objects are scattered on and off of the artboard.

Example of what it should look like below.  I opened the PDF I saved in the 27.0.1 version.  Opened it in the older version and saved as an SVG.  Closed and opened again to check.  No issues.Screen Shot 2022-12-01 at 2.15.25 PM.png

This is more of a heads up.  I am using the older version for now.

Does the SVG look correct when you open it in Inkscape? Or the browser?

SVG should never be your work file format with Illustrator, because it's not a native file format. WHen you need to open your files again, save them as AI.

SVG looks correct everywhere, including the preview at the home screen in illustrator, but once opened it goes haywire.  This is the first time one of my saved SVGs has ever done this.  I actually create and sell laser cut files so I provide the files in multiple formats including AI.  With that said, I should be able to open an SVG and expect it not to explode. 🙂

As I said: it's not one of Illustrator's native file formats.

You might want to report this to illustrator.uservoice.com

Thank you!  I wasn't sure where to report it.  I will do that now.
