the spacebar doesn't work

When I edit text, the spacebar doesn't work, when pressed it doesn't generate space.

Hi, are you using the latest version of Adobe Illustrator? Does this problem occur on all files or only on a specific file?

does the space bar work outside illustartor?

if yes, try resetting illustrator preferences settings
