Type and stroke lines

Good morning, is there a way to unite type (text) with it's stroke without lines for the stroke (inside the letter)? I need just one line: on the outside of the letter. Have been searching for an answer, but can't find anything which would work. Thank you very much in advance

I´'m a little unclear at what you want, but using the shape-builder you should be able to do this. select all the shapes and drag over the areas you want to combine with the shape builder tool.

Thank you. I somehow forgot that shape tool can be used also on text.
