Type on path flipped/ reversed in Illustrator 26.1

Latest Illustrator update  26.1 not working. Spotted bugs:
- my old illustrations display differently (example attached)
- impossible to export for the web (screen attached)

Can you try if it helps when you reset the preferences?

Since this will erase all your settings, you can rename the preferences folder which can be undone in case it doesn't help.

I understand, that's nice of you. I work with Windows 11.

I hope that this bug will be quickly corrected by Adobe or I will have to reinstall the previous version.

I am on Windows 10 and can't replicate these issues with 26.1

I suggest you contact Adobe support and see what they have to say.

Hi,
good (well kind of good) to hear that I am not the only one having exactly the same problem. This is with Text aligned to a circle. All text is rotated. The funny thing is that the preview in the file history windows renders it correctly....

I will try to go back to an older version this might hopefully work.

Same problem here...all files that have text aligend to a circle are affected. The text will wrap differently around the circle. So either correct it or wait for a new version...?

I downgraded to the previous Illustrator version and now it works again as expected.

I checked with the team, and this issue was addressed in Illustrator v26.1. However, we have discovered this issue is happening on some older files created on an older version of Illustrator.

This is mainly due to the path created as a rounded rectangle disguised as Circle, which causes the issue while editing it.

I would request you to check this and confirm. If that is not the case, I will request you all to share a download link to a file in which you are using the issue, and we will check at our end.
