When I try to save files its just not happening, not to illustrator, PDF, eps or anything, I have no printed connected and I put my auto save prefrences off I am at a loss as to what is going on? Pleaaase Help

Does Illustrator have sufficient privileges to write to your disk?
As for the printer: if you don't have one, set up a PDF printer.
How's the filename: any special characters in it? Even . can be a problem for some people.
Exactly where are you trying to save?
When was your last computer reboot?

New install? App or system.
New update? App or system.
If No, then what has changed since it last worked?
If Yes, uninstall, run Cleaner Tool, reinstall.
