Upgraded Illustrator, Previous Files Will Not Save

I upgraded to Illustrator 2022 this morning, and now my previously saved Illustrator file will open, I can work on it, but it will not save in any format. Just text in file, no artwork. I copied all into a new blank file, and was still not able to save in any format. 

Does Illustrator 2022 support True Type fonts?

Where are you trying to save it?

Are the fonts all checked and OK?

Does it get better when you turn off "Save in background" in the preferences?

Yes, I was able to save after turning off "Save in Background" in Preferences.
