Hi all,

I uploaded a SVG file with the dimensions of 155mm by 48mm to AI, but it became 205mm by 63mm.
Please help! I'm lost!!

Thanks in advance!

That file was created on a different operating system?

The dimensions are calculated based on different resolution.

Enter the desired size in the transform panel and check the proportional box.

What exactly did you mean by you uploaded. Did you open a Canva exported svg in Adobe llustrator???  Illustrator SVG getting posted to a website for example scales to strange dimensions usually verge large, or to a div container.

SVG are like .dxf where the units of measurement/scale are not in the file. So the proportions are correct, but the actual physical size is not in the file.
