Are there any plugins, third party software or other Adobe products that can review vector images to verify properties like line weights, closed paths, etc.
I'm wanting to run a lot of old legacy vector art work through some sort of funnel to evaluate the files and determine which ones would need additional work on the files to meet specifications or be able to determine they meet specs and requirements and approve for use.
I would appreciate any knowledge or direction on this topic. Thank you
You could check out the plugin VectorFirstAid
and the plugin FindReplace
both by Astute Graphics.
Built into Illustrator you have this
Dont know of anything the analyzies a file for line weights, but check out these pages:

Hi @cindyp74856603, just to get this conversation going... I don't know of anything off hand that does what you are asking—someone else hopefully will know of an existing tool—but a script would be able to do it *if* the scripting API provided access to the properties you were interested in. For example: closed paths: YES, strokeWeight: YES but there are some things that scripting doesn't have access to, for example: applied Live Effects: NO, appearances with more than one fill or stroke: NO (only the basic stroke and fill are accessible). So knowing your exact requirements will make a difference here. Of course cost for someone to write the script will be a consideration too! Assuming that no such script already exists.

This is an encouraging reply. I am hoping there is something that is an existing software or plug-in solution but just knowing that scripting could possibly get me a solution is awesome. Thank you so much for your reply!
If anyone else has some suggestions for me please reply in this thread.
