WARNING (RANT): Please please please....Expand the Selection Tolerance of Bezier Nodes Above "8"

Hi Adobe,

I have been working on my, well, technically it's my third logo treatment, but this one is rather curvy and involved.

I swear every time I click the bezier node, I have to click 3 or 4 more times to get the bezier to work because I keep clicking the whole letter/object, have to re-position, and then click it again - over and over and over. As clunky as Photoshop is, I've never pulled my hair out in the twenty years using it's bezier tool as I have the past number of weeks I have with this one. And guess what...Illustrator is a vector program. It happens to use the bezier...a lot. ...I could scream.

You would think bezier would be a focal point of customization. Just like Photoshop has brush size. For all the witty tutorials on LinkedIn and Youtube....For all the "wow, how cool." (cuz it truly is). It doesn't matter if I can't click the dots.

For the love and respect of common use, please please please on your next software upgrade, please raise the selection tolerance of your Selection & Anchor Display section in the Preferences panel to above "8". PLEASE.

This lack of ability is so much a pain that I researched with ChatGPT o1 to try and find a preferences hack to fix the dang thing because I'm having to constantly do 3 times the work to do basic click and drag letter editing.

I'm glad everybody's having a good time and Illustrator is a breeze for many. I agree that Illustrator is different than most tools and there are some things I'm slowly getting the hand of, but this one....Dude.

For me, this is utter torture. Please please please increase the Selection Tolerance or at least put /selectionTolerance back in the hidden user prefs file and I'll update it myself.

Yes, I have the size of the handles as large as they will go.
