Weird boxes around shapes

I cant seem to expand the shapes inside these boxes in any kind of way. It orginally is an SVG file made by someone else and when opened in Illustrator it places all the vector shapes inside some kind of clipping mask. Illustrator doesnt show any options to release clipping masks. When exported to different formats the boxes expand and are just filled rectangles. Does anyone have any experience with this?

if you have Adobe XD. try to import the svg file to XD.. and see how it looks.

other thing that you can try is to select all, right click> release clipping mask.

Xd imports SVG files and it will be vector.

then export it again.

you can send me the file to redraw it 🙂

How does it look in outline view?

Whjat does the layers panel tell you about the boxes?

That's not possible unfortunately. This has been made by a designer who worked at my company before me and the files are lost.

I opened it in Figma. Then it allowed me to select all the layers individually 🙂 It worked. A bit of a workaround but it does the trick. Thanks!
