What format fonts will work with Illustrator as of January, 2023? I know .ttf will no longer work and I also know .otf WILL work. Are there any other formats that will work?

Type 1 postscript (which have been iffy for a while) especially in old files will not work.

TrueType fonts will still work. Where did you hear they wouldn't?

Hello @dWelx,

Thanks for reaching out. Adobe will disable support for authoring with Type 1 fonts by January 2023. All other font formats will continue to work. You may learn more about this here (https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/kb/postscript-type-1-fonts-end-of-support.html).

Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks,

Anubhav
