An error occurs when copying and pasting the desired color.

What is the solution?

Since the desired color is blue, I copy this color value and I pasted the copied color value into the line.

The color seemed different, so I increased the thickness of the line and checked, and it turned out to be a different color from the desired blue.

I go into the document and change the color setting to CMYK, but it doesn't work.

If it was an RGB document, changing the document color to CMYK will not help.

What do you copy? Where do you get the values and where do you paste them?

I referenced Pinterest colors. Color values were applied to faces and lines. Double-click the line and surface area at the bottom left to enter the color code value.

Where are you getting the color value from? A color should be first defined in the Swatch Panel. It can then be applied by simply selecting an object and making its fill or stroke the desired color by clicking on that color in the Swatch Panel. I'm not sure what you're trying to do by copying and pasting. See https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/using-creating-swatches.html for more information about creating swatches.

Hi @Junseong33306194klrh

Thank you for reaching out! To help you better, could you please provide a few more details? Here’s what we need:

  • Operating System and Illustrator Version: This helps us check for any version-specific issues.
  • Are the colors in the fill and stroke the same but look different?
  • Sample File: If possible, sharing the file would help us investigate further.

We’re here to help—just need a bit more info to get started!

Regards,

Srishti

First answer.

macbook pro (16inch, M2)
maxOS : Sequoia 15.1
Adobe : v29.0.1

Second answer.

When entering the fill color value, enter the cmyk color code to apply the color.

For example, if the color code value is 000000,
double-click the line at the bottom left to give the line color value and enter the color code 000000,
and the color value will automatically change.
This had never happened before, but now it keeps happening.
I checked several times to see if the mode was RGB, and it was cmyk.

Thrid answer.

I entered the same color value, but the line color automatically changed color value.

Please confirm the attached image file.

In an RGB document only enter RGB values.

In a CMYK document only enter CMYK values.

Otherwise the colors get converted and will change to the nearest possible values.
