Workspace Issues: Can't create New Workspace in AI 2025 - 29.3.1

Explorer ,
Mar 26, 2025 Mar 26, 2025

SInce the latest Illustrator 29.3.1 update, the Workspace has completely broke.  I can't get previously save Workspaces to appear, and when I attempt to re-setup a New Workspace, I'm not able to save it or even Manage existing Workspaces, as the Menu/Windows/Workspace options are deactivated (never seen this).  See attached screenshot.

Please help me.

Why, when selecting previously saved Workspace it won't appear?

Why am I not able to Manage existing Workspaces?

Why can't I create a New Workspace?

Try creating a new user account and see if the problem exists in the new account. If it does, then it's a computer/software problem. If the problem doesn't exist, it's probably a problem with the preference files in your original user home folder.

I need to edit this post/attachement.  Would an Adobe employee please help me, as I'm not able to edit posts for some reason?  Thank you!

What do you want to edit about it? Remove the screendump?

Thank you, James!  I created a new user account, and the problem didn't exist there.  So I reset the preferences and then I was able to create a new Workspace.  Plus I found the many system locations that Adobe stores preference files (all over the place!) and was able to put pre-existing Workspace files there.  Why does Adobe keep changing the locations of all the preference files???
