Hi @Gizem Gul,

It seems like you're encountering the "Your Illustrator build has expired" error when trying to use the Illustrator Beta. This issue can occur when the beta version you have installed reaches its expiration date. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct way to bypass this error within the beta version itself.

However, the good news is that we have recently released a new beta version, 28.0.0.7, to address such issues and provide users with updated features and bug fixes.

Hi there,

Sorry about the trouble. I agree with @Test Screen Name. Beta's app gets expired when a new one releases. Any particular reason you are using beta release? Which version of macOS are you using? Is it happening while opening a specific document or all? You may share the document with us. You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link here. We will try to recover it. Multiple factors can lead to file corruption. However, we can take a look and see if the file can be repaired. I must also inform you that file recovery can't be guaranteed with 100% success. We'll surely try our best.

Also, you may try installing an older version of Illustrator, version 25.4.1, and see if that helps resolve the issue.

Will be looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Anshul Saini

Hi Anshul,

I am facing the same problem while opening Illustrator Beta on MacOS Monterey with all files.
It says 'Your Illustrator build has expeired'
I deleted and reinstalled the Beta and that still didn't work.
I'm using the beta because I am using M1.

Do let me know what I could do to fix the issue, thanks!

Hi Anshul,

Just realised that Illustrator is now available for M1 so just downloaded the same and deleted beta.
All is good, thank you so much!

I am also having the same problems and I am using the latest version... why do we even need to pay for a service that does not work when you need it?

I am not sure of the solution to issues with the Beta build expiry, but can you not use the general release version? Do you absolutely need to use the Beta for some reason?

Honestly, Adobe made so much fuss and advertising about using the Beta versions that I decided to use. But I think these ads are misleading and they should let you know that can STOP the bet at any moment without notice. Now,  I am deleting all Beta versions and I will stick with the general releases.

I don't know how Adobe advertise the Illustrator Beta, but as a rule, you should use it if you want to test upcoming features and provide feedback, not for general production work.

Hi Anshul,

I have installed the Illustrator Beta version 26.0.1. I am using this pre-release version to validate our plugins with this version and identify any compatibility issues. The illustrator app is now showing the message "Your Illustrator build has expired".

How do I get this build to work for couple of more days to finish our testing.

Should I have to wait for the next build to evaluate?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Anshul,

I started to have the same error (Your Illustrator build has expired) every time I launched the Illustrator Beta. I don't know the beta version and can't even check the About section to look anymore.
I'm using a Macbook Pro 2023 M2 Max with Ventura 13.4.1. And I can use normal Adobe Illustrator 27.3.1 without any problem.
But, I want to keep using the Illustrator Beta version because of some of the extra features I like to use.

Is there any way to keep using the beta version?

Thank you!

You will probably need to update the beta version. You can check that in your Creative Cloud app.

As Monika suggested to continue using the Illustrator Beta with the latest features, and without encountering the expiration error, keep an eye out for new beta updates on the Creative Cloud app. When a new beta version becomes available, you can download and install it to enjoy the extended functionality while avoiding the expiration problem. Please check for updates manually in the Creative Cloud app, and you will see the latest beta build.

I hope this information helps, and I wish you a smooth experience with the latest Illustrator Beta version!

I am having the same problem and the version you mention does not appear as an update option. I am on 28.3. Looks like a big problem from this chat. Can you let me know when this will be resolved?

Thanks

It's not a big problem. All Beta versions have expiration dates. They are beta for a reason and should not be used in production. But of course there are reasons to do it anyway. But: then you need to live with the consequences. One of them being that a beta version might give you headaches at any time, because it is beta for a reason: functionality might fail or the version might even be terminated when serious issues appear. Nobody knows why it's not available right now.

Just wait until there is a new beta version.

And until then please use the released version.
