I'm working on a brand new 2021 iPad with Illustrator 1.3.2 (latest version at 29/7/21), and I have an essential file that I use that has templates for clothing pattern making. The size is 5.1mb and I open it from Adobe Cloud, but I have it set to "always available offline". It's mostly just pen tool lines and text, but 14 artboards of it, as it is a variation of 14 sizes of clothing.
I am trying to open it to simply copy the outline of one size only and transfer to a new document, but firstly the document takes ages to load and is very slow once opened, then when I highlight the content of the art board that I want to copy, the app completely freezes and no matter how long I leave it I have to quit the app.
I had a read through community posts and saw that some users had experienced Illustrator crashing on previous versions, so I tried deleting it from my home screen and re-installing, but that didn't help.
Any suggestions on what is happening here or how to fix? This is an essential file for my work and it is completely unusable right now.
I wanted to add that I've spoken to a couple of other iPad Pro users who also use this template, and they said they haven't have any issues opening and using it. I am also able to use it on my desktop.
