Hello!

I'm currently using my iPad( IOS 17.4.1) with Illustrator (3.0.6) to colour in an illustration and am getting extremely slow brush strokes and a crash after every two or three.

The file is 5.5mb , the only file on my Creative Cloud.  In the drawing there is black outline with 20 Colours.

I have 37.16 GB of local free disk space on the iPad and 97% free disk space on Creative Cloud.

I've tried restarting, and reinstalling Illustrator, to no avail.

If there are any suggestions about next steps to get this sorted I would really appreciate it.

Crash Logs are attached.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

HI @CharlieEvans,

Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you're encountering some frustrating issues with Illustrator on your iPad. Given the symptoms you've described, including slow brush strokes and frequent crashes, it's possible that your device's hardware is not fully compatible with the application's demands.

Illustrator on the iPad requires specific system requirements to ensure optimal performance. As a 9th-generation model, your iPad may not meet all the specifications for smooth operation, particularly when working with more extensive or complex files, tools, or brushes.

To address these issues, I'd recommend checking the system requirements outlined in Adobe's help documentation for Illustrator on iOS. This resource provides detailed information about compatible devices and configurations. Here's the link for your reference: Illustrator System Requirements for iOS.

Reviewing these requirements can help you determine if your current iPad meets the necessary criteria for running Illustrator smoothly. If your device falls short, you may want to consider upgrading to a model that better aligns with the recommended specifications to ensure a better user experience.

Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with!

Best,

Anshul Saini
