Does Illustrator on iPad allow automatic layering behind option?

Is there a way to set the newly drawn item to be layered behind the previously drawn one, like the desktop version?

In the menu which pops up under a selected item you can tap the layers then drag left to drop down in a stack or right to go up in the stack for individual parts within a layer.

 To move a whole layer up or down you would need to deliberately drag those to where you want them.
There does not appear to be a function you can set to always have a new layer appear below another though.
