My Illustrator for Ipad won't open. It is a 3rd Gen Ipad pro with IOS 17. Adobe have recommended that I downgrade to IOS 16. This seems like a bit of a faff and pre-supposes that IOS 17 is the issue.
Does anyoe recognise this problem and was it solved by downgrading?
Thanks.

iOS 17 is still in beta.
This is a public forum with 95% of people not being staff and we have no other information than: downgrade.
You cannot patch or manipulate iOS that much, so installing some third party magic in it just is not possible.

Thanks for your very kind reply. To be clear all I'm asking is :
A Has this been recognised as an issue
B Was the issue solved by an upgrade

Since it's still a beta system, it's not an issue. Beta periods exist for the very reason that everyone adapts their software.
So since Adobe told you that Illustrator is not ready yet, they are aware of it. If no update is available to you, then there is none.
There is a Prerelease program for Illustrator iPad and maybe you want to join it. I don't know if the prerelease version works on iOS 17, because I do not install Apple beta systems anymore. Apple systems only get usable when they are about 2 years old.

Thanks again for your reply.
Issues or not, it is an issue that I cannot at present load Illustrator. I shall await further responses to to see if the issue is solved by downgrade - and if so - I shall consider it as a solution.

There are two simple rules:
1. Do not install beta software or systems on computers that should be used for production. Let alone when things are critical.
2. Do only upgrade when all the manufacturers of your apps, plugins, devices, drivers have stated that it's OK to do so and their software will run with all the updates involved.

Hello @johnd92063344,
Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind updating the OS and the Fresco app to the latest version and checking if it helps?

Also, kindly check if all of your work is synced online (https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents). If yes, try deleting Illustrator, restarting your device, and then reinstalling the app to check if it helps.
If the issue persists, kindly share the crash report so that we can investigate this further:
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
