In AI on iPad, the pencil has always "Keep selected" on, and cannot be turned off.
With that, the pencil cannot be used for writing, since e.g. crossing a t is taken as a correction to the (live) stem of t, and gives a mess.
Even in the regular AI, the pencil "Keep selected" should be off by default, since the pencil is used much more for drawing new things than for corrections.
It should be possible to turn the pencil "Keep selected" off in AI on the iPad, so as to make the pencil usable.
Especially since iPads have very nice pencils...
That would be the single most important change to AI on iPad, and everyone seems to ask for it.
