Elements not shown in Illustrator Web

I added a svg path and text to the pdf file (see attached) and in pdf viewers (MacOS Preview, Adobe Acrobat Reader) it looks fine:

But when opening it with Illustrator Web the image and text are missing and no error occured.

This could likely be the culprit, then. These PDFs do not appear to support Illustrator's format natively. The SVG is viewable as a PDF but not within Illustrator because of this. I recommend reaching out to the Javascript PDF library for suggestions on how to proceed. Take a screenshot of your result, import this into Illustrator on the Web, and use the tools provided, like the Pen tool, to recreate your SVG object.
