Unable to adjust x-axis and y-axis in the Transform Panel

Once I adjust the x-axis in the Transform Panel, it will jump to a value I never input before.

Would you mind confirming the version of Illustrator installed, and if this happens with all documents?

Also, try Illustrator's preferences as described in this article (https://adobe.ly/4j3KlLS) and share your observations.

Disclaimer: Please note that renaming preferences folders will remove all the custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also save a backup of the folders, the location of which is mentioned above.
