2021 version illustrator file open in previous versions

How can I open an illustrator file, created in 2021 version, in 2018 illustrator version?

Open it in 2021 and thensave it as AI in a compatible version. Accept some expanded objects, effects etc.

If there is a PDF embedded in the file, you can try and create a new file and then File>Place. Accept that not a lot might be fully editable in your file.
