Add Texture file to Illustrator

I loaded a custom texture file (.pds) into AI a long time ago and it's been available every time I launch the Illustrator app.  Recently, it may have been an update, the custom texture is no longer readily available when I launched the app.  I have to re-load the texture file every time I do a new design.  Is there a folder I need to place this texter file in so it does load with the default AI textures?  Tks

Do you mean swatches?

Did it appear in a separate swatch library or in your document swatches?

If I load a file there, then close and reopen Illustrator, it still appears in the drop down list.

Where is your texture file located?

The file is located locally on my computer but it in a different folder than where AI is installed.  It may be the fact it's not located in the same folder as the other textures but what folder should it be in?  Running Win10
