Adobe Illustrator 2020 not opening/creating documents on Windows 10

hi all, I want to ask you, why does my illustrator open new documents, all the tools cannot be used, such as freezes, have to wait several hours or even a day. whereas photosop, premiere and after effects can be used directly when creating new documents. please help me, thanks

About what version of Illustrator are you talking here? What operation system are you using?

Does it really take one day to create a new or open an existing .ai file?

If that applies, many things go totally wrong. It is certainly not normal behaviour and I'm afraid that there are not so many people who can reproduce that behaviour.

But I could be wrong, of course.

Yes, its take to long time, i don't now why, n opening existing project it same too. I find the solution start 8 months ago but untill now still didn't get solution for my problem. I'm trying to install the lowest version until illustrator cc 2019 but still same as like now.

Was that a Windows update some months ago?

Do youhave a printer connected, set up as the default printer and turned on? Is the printer driver updated? Did you uninstall all printers that are no longer there?

If you don't have a printer, set up the Windows PDF printer. And if you already did that, check again after each Windows update.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Please make sure you have Adobe Illustrator, Windows 10 & GPU driver updated to the latest version. I'd also request resetting preferences of Adobe Illustrator. Please follow the instructions below to do that:

• Close all Adobe applications. 
• Go to Location C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe 
• Rename  Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Illustrator 24 Settings folders to Adobe Illustrator.old and Adobe Illustrator 24 Settings.old 
• Launch Illustrator from the Creative Cloud. 

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and Illustrator will recreate new folders with default settings.
