Adobe Illustrator 2021. Direct Selection Tool Creates Spinning Wheel on Mac

Using Mac DeskTop. OS Catalina 10.15.7.

Trying to copy from an Anchor Point. Direct Selection Tool- Click and hold on Anchor Point-Option Key(to copy)-Shift Key(Maintain direction/Level)- Spinning Wheel.

Sent Illustrator 21 to Bin. Re loaded Illustrator 2. Tried again same thing. 

Any help appreciated
