I'm using Wix for my website and tried to download my new logo. The logo is in an ai file so I purchased Adobe Illustrator, So now I can fully download the logo file throough AI. But when I try to apply it to the website it says that only vector files can be used. Isn't AI automatically a vector file? Anyone encounter this problem?
Yes, AI is a vector program. Perhaps WIX wants a .svg file or a pdf version. I have never seen a website use an .ai file, you usually need to save out to another format. From what I looked up, they accept .png, .jpg .tiff (all pixel based) and other pixel based files as well as .svg and and video formats. Not .ai files. Perhaps ask their support.
Thank you for your response! I was able to reach someone at Wix who was very helpful. They mentioned some of the same ideas. I plan to work through those ideas today and hopefully will manage to finally post my logo successfully.
