Ai 2020: Brush stroke thickness keeps reverting back to 1pt

Hi all.

Even though I set the brush thickess to 0.25pt, it keeps reverting back to 1pt. Sometimes even though it shows the correct stroke size ie. 0.25, the actual line on the canvas is 1pt thick. Why does it keep reverting back to 1pt when I set it to another size?

Sorry to hear about this. Would you mind sharing the version of the OS & Adobe Illustrator? Does it happen while working on a specific file or all?

You may try resetting the preferences of the app and see if it helps.

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

Hi Ashutosh. I am using Windows 10 and Ai 2020 CC. I have stumbled across a workaround. If I change the brush size using the shortcut keys (square brackets []), the brush size remains at whatever size I change it to, even though it still shows as 1pt in size. Thank you.
