Ai Background Erase Tool

I am running Ai windows version 25.2.1 and cant find the background erase tool. Searched all over the internet but nothing out there is working for me.  I've tried different workspaces but it doesn't help either.

Photoshop has a background eraser but Illustrator does ot.

If you are working with images, you should be doing this in Photoshop. If you are doing Image Trace and want to knock out the white, it is in advanced settings.
