aic file does not open in Illustrator

I have been working on several documents for weeks, which I only saved on the cloud as .aic documents. When I am trying to open them it shows Error opening "". I tried to open them on another computer. The thumbnails of the docments are visible, but can not be opened. Request urgent help, since have to hand in diploma work. Due date now! Help please!

It shows that it has reverted but it doesn't change anything. Still shows that the download has failed. Thank you for your quick response!

It doesn't show as a separate file but I did try opening it in Illustrator after reverting. It didn't work.

I have noticed quite a few posts here about opening problems with cloud .aic files, but not many reported as a bug on Uservoice.
