Everytime I want to delete a layer "with artwork" on it I get an annoying "are you sure..." dialog. There's no need for this speed bump as I can just undo to get back any lost artwork should it have been in error. I find a lot of unneccesary slow-down verification steps like this in the Adobe suite, I wish they understood when to use dialogs, and when not to. Or at least give me the option to "don't show show this message again" like on some dialogs.
When you are building art in Illustrator, there's a lot of things changing, moving, and deleted. If I'm paying for CC, I probably have some skill so i don't need to be rookie-proof.

Probably not ideal, but in the meantime you could drag the layer item(s) onto the trash can in the Layers palette. The warning message will not appear.
