Artboard Issues

My artboards are duplicating themselves. making it impossible to export my project in order. I will get Artboards 1,2,3,5,5,6,7,8,9,9,11,12,12... Illustratior is treating the artboards with the same number as the same artboard. Meaning I have two seperate designs, and only one is beinf exported. I have tried to delete the duplicate and make another artboard, but they still repeat each other.

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

Also, please elaborate a bit about the things you are doing.

As per your description, I have no idea what your issue actually may be.
