I've lived for ages with this problem. Illustrator adds a pixel when exporting. The problem is not that the artboard's x or y axis has a decimal value, I know that trick. I've tried Export As, Export for Screens. It works fine when doing Save for Web, but as far as I know, you can't export multiple artboards that way. Help please!!!
That's the centre point of your artboard. Set the registration point to top left and check again.

I just discovered that it seems to only be a problem when the height or width of the artboard is an odd number. For example, an artboard of 500x501 will export at 500x502. The position doesn't seem to matter.

Do you export at 72 ppi or multiples of 72 (144, 288)?
Exporting at 150 or 300 can introduce additional pixels.

I always export at 72ppi.

I agree with Doug, please share an example Illustrator file.
You can use the CC files folder or other sharing methods (Dropbox, Google, WeTransfer).

Do you use Global Rulers or Artboard Rulers.
Artboard Rulers may give the impression that the XY coordinates don't contain fractions, but they can when you change to Global Rulers.

I'm already using Global rulers. 😕

The Y coordinate of your artboard is at 5,5 pixels

Oh I see, I didn't know about that! However when I, for instance, set the top left corner to x:6 and y:6, then the middle right, center, and middle left points change the y value to 256.5 (even with snap to pixel enabled). Is that going to be a problem? Is there any way I can get all the points set to a whole pixel value?

The top left XY coordinate is what counts.

THANK YOU!!! And thanks from my colleagues who also had this issue.

You won't get a whole pixel at those points if your artboard dimension is an even number.
