Thank you.

What you want to draw is called isometric.

So you need to get aquainted with the basic shapes tools to draw the base for the construction and then the method of how to turn it into an isometric drawing.

yosi,

This was created with the Rectangle Tool, the second leg copied from the first, so a total of 3 different rectangles; Smart Guides and the Align palette options are your friends.

It was posted a good decade ago as a joke.

I suggest taking a look at a course on LinkedIn Learning such as the folllowing: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/learning-illustrator-draw/mobile-working-with-illustrator-draw?u=5...

This will help you learn the basics of Illustrator.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. In addition to earlier helpful suggestions, I'd request checking out this YouTube video about creating furniture in Illustrator.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Illustrator is a great product, but you may want to look at SketchUp. They have an extensive library of prebuilt furniture objects.

Formally Google SketchUp, now owned by Trimble, they have a free web-based version. Info at: https://www.sketchup.com/plans-and-pricing#for-personal

Here is some more-advanced furniture info:
