I just opened a .ai file of a logo and there are boxs around every single element, how do I get rid of them? why are they appearing?

Can you explain a bit more in detail, please?

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

In which version was your file created?

Or is your file a "converted" PDF file?

 

Could you show us a screenshot with Layers Panel please? (or two, the second one in Outline View)
