OPERATING SYSTEM : WINDOWS 10 - 64 BIT
ILLUSTRATOR VERSION : 23.0.1 64 BIT
Video description: I will draw four triangles with pen tool. Add a linear gradient to them. Then I will draw a line segment on the border of one triangle, add a stroke weight of 5 pts. Then I added a gradient color to this line, changed the type to Radial. AND NOW THE GHOST WILL COME OUT TO PLAY. I will draw another segment on the border of another triangle. The moment I will finish drawing the line segment, Illustrator will convert all the linear gradient of triangles to radial gradient in such an OUT OF WAY manner. Please have a look at the video.
Hi all, the problem got resolved after updating the Illustrator.

Hi, sorry you are having problems with Adobe Illustrator. I advise you to update Illustrator to the new version and check if the problem occurs again. Also, check if there are also updates related to your video card.

Very interesting case.
Unfortunately, based on your video description, I cannot reproduce this issue.
Not sure if it may help, but perhaps you could share a sample .ai file including some instructions, so one may have a look and catch the cause of that issue.

Just try to repeat the steps in the same way as I did. Especially after drawing all the random triangles and giving them a linear gradient. When the first line segment is drawn, just increase its weight, come to the gradient panel > activate the stroke and press Radial gradient button to apply the gradient color to that line. With that line selected, just draw another line and the moment you complete drawing it, Ghost will appear.
It's not like there no solution to it. The desired results can be achieved in many ways. 1. Draw the line segment, add colors to it in gradient panel and then convert the gradient type to radial. Then this thing will not happen. 2. Simply draw the way I have drawn in the video but just deselect the first line before you draw the second one. Then this thing will not happen. 3. Draw all the desired line segments at once, select them all and then change their attributes like stroke weight and giving the gradient color to them together. Then this ghost thing will not happen.
Problem occurs when the steps are performed as mentioned in first para above.

I did exactly follow your steps shown in the video, but so far I was not able to reproduce the issue.
Admittedly, I'm using a different version of Illustrator (24.2) on Mac OS 10.14.6.
It might be interesting if someone else can replicate the behaviour.

I have updated the version of Illustrator and this thing is not happening anymore. However, before that I tried that thing on different PCs and the problem was there but now it is resolved. Thanks for showing concern. Cheers.

Version 23.1.1 on the Mac - I can't reproduce it. Does it happen after a computer restart and/or resetting the preferences?
