I am 66 years old and really do very little design work anymore, but want to continue. I have CS6 loaded from disc!! One day Illustrator CS6 WOULD NOT OPEN. I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled and still cannot open Illustrator. I wish to remain using this version as I'm retired and can't afford to continue upgrading.

PLEASE HELP.

Which system are you using?

The point is: if you want to keep on using old applications, you have to also use an old system that is compatible with the old software.

Thank you for responding. I'm using High SIerra 10.13.6 with the Intel HD
Graphics 4000 Card. I've read forums about HS 10.13.4 having problems with
other cards but mine isn't one. I'm on a 2013 Mac Mini. Honestly I just
wanted to live the rest of my life just where I am. I do a website for my
garden club and lots of eBlasts. I can live without Illustrator because I
have InDesign and Photoshop, but I'm worried that those apps will go next.

Why would an app just not open anymore?
