Can I save Multi Point Gradients to a User Defined Swatch

Hey,

I have a multi-point gradient that I want to reuse across PS and Ai. Within Illustrator, normally to save gradients, I would use the drop-down menu in the gradient panel, and then 'Add to Swatch'. From here I can then create a user-defined swatch.

The issue is that when you choose a multi-point gradient; the drop-down menu in the Gradient Panel disappears.

Is this just something you cannot do with multi-point; as it is there on linear and radial.

You can make a graphic style out of both multi-point (as in multiple color stops in a linear or radial gradient) and freeform (which is pictured in the screenshot) gradients to reapply to other Illustrator graphics. You can't add them to Swatches or the CC Libraries. You can place your Illustrator graphic in a Photoshop document as a Smart Object. Then you can double-click on its Photoshop layer to reopen it and edit in Illustrator.

Dropping it into PS as a smart object was my workaround, but thought it would be goods to have them in a user swatch that is always there. 

Will play around with Graphic Styles and see if this suits my needs.

You can not use it as a custom swatch at the moment.

However, you should be able to save it as a graphic style (see Graphic Styles palette).
