I have some guides on a large artboard that I want to cut into smaller ones to be able to print. The images stretch across the guides, so they need to be pretty exact. How can I turn my guides into artboards for printing?

If Ton's solution doesn't do what you need and you still want to convert guides to artboards:

1. Lock artwork.

2. Draw rectangle over existing artboard.

3. Unlock guides.

4. Select all (Guides and rectangle).

5 Release guides (View > Guides > Release Guides).

6. With released guides and rectangle selected, with Shape Builder tool click inside each smaller rectangle formed by rectangle and intersecting guide lines.

7. With Shape Builder tool delete guide lines that are outside original artboard.

8. With all still selected, go to Object > Artboards > Convert to Artboards.
