Can't Modify an object with selection tool

I have having problems with the new version 22.0.1.

I cant modify scale and can't transform objects with Selection tool as I could.

Do you know how I should do now?

Did you turn on the Bounding Box?

View > Show Bounding Box

After you try the suggestion mentioned above by Ton and if the issue still persists, you can try to reset the Illustrator preferences and check again. Here's how: How to set preferences in Illustrator
