You could try and reset the preferences.

But maybe you start with telling us something about your system. Did you install anything recently? Whichsystem is it? Windows 7? Are all the patches and whatnot installed? Is it updated (to the extent that is possible with Windows 7)?

Hi there,

Sorry about the delay. I am hopeful that the issue was fixed. If not, would you mind sharing the crash report from Event Viewer:

  • Press Windows+R to open the Run dialog, enter eventvwr (or eventvwr.msc) and hit OK.
  • Go to Windows Logs > Application and check if you see any error related to Illustrator
    Event Viewer Illustrator.png

You could also try the suggestions shard on this page (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/how-to-fix-a-crash-and-recover-documents-in-illustrator/t...) and let us know how it goes.

Feel free to let us know if you still need assistance.

Regards,

Srishti
