Hi, I am a new user of Ai CC. To create a PDF file I perform Ctrl + O to make the fonts vector. It turns out that this action causes characters to disappear. I noticed that the digit 0 at the end of a line disappears. Would appreciate help. thanksp1.jpgp1 With malfunction.jpg

Hi there,

We're so sorry to hear about this trouble. I understand that it's frustrating. I would request if you could share a few more details like:

  • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.
  • Was it working fine earlier? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates or web extensions installed recently.

You may try the steps suggested on this page ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/resolve-slow-performance-and-unexpected-behaviors-in-illu... ) and share your observations with us.

We’re here to help, just need more info.

Regards,

Srishti

If nothing else helps, try and use Object >Expand appearance. Check "Outline text" in the dialog box.

Do you really need to outline the type? Live type will produce superior screen viewing and should print just fine, as long as the font is embedded. Here is a link to a similar issue:

I am sure there is an ssue there that shouldn't be happening, but outlining text is something that you shouldn't really need to be doing anymore. Embed the font in the pdf and check in Acrobat to make sure it is embedded, then a printer will not have a problem printing. If necessary, embed the font in the pdf instead.
