Chart and Graph Behavior

After making a pie chart or graph it seems these elements don't behave like other objects...

E.g. I cannot use with the align or transform palette to interact with other objects.

Is this normal behavior or am I missing something?

Yes, it's normal behaviour. That means that currently it doesn't work as you may expect.

Thinking that the behaviour is not right is another question, of course.
