Color elements with gradient

Hi there!

Could you please watch this video: https://youtu.be/LgWzqalYKGU and tell me how was it done? I mean, what setting should I change, to color elements (in this case - arrows) with gradient rectangle?

As you can see, when I copy all the elements to a new file, the feature of gradient rectangle is gone...

You're copying it from an RGB to a CMYK document. Some blend modes work differently in that color space.
