Color not changing when coding when saving in SVG from Illustrator

Hello everyone, I need some help. I'm a designer and currently I've been working on some icons for a web page and saving them in SVG format for the developpers to implement them and so far it was going well, but about a month ago I updated to the latest version of Illustrator and now when I save the icons in SVG, the developpers are not able to change te color when coding. Can someone help me with this?

By help of what app they are  changig color? Do they work with code?

Yes, they work with code. They are using Angular 9

And all they told you is: it doesn't work?

Can they tell you how a file must be set up?

And why your files don't work?

How do you export files?

Save as > SVG

"Save as" produces old code.

You could try "Export for screen"

But still those people need to tell you something why your files don't work.
